About This Site

Finding a released person in Nevada starts with identifying the system that last held the person. A county or city jail, the Nevada Department of Corrections, a federal custodian, and immigration detention each keep different records. This privately operated reference site brings those routes into one statewide framework, then points readers toward the agency search, release record, or local custodian that can answer the question.

Why This Site Exists

Nevada release information is spread among seventeen county or consolidated city-county jurisdictions, separate municipal detention systems, NDOC, the parole board, supervision offices, courts, and federal agencies. A person who has left a live jail roster may have posted bond, completed a term, transferred to another custodian, entered parole, or moved into another correctional placement. The site organizes those distinctions so a current custody entry is not mistaken for a historical release record.

County custodians document local jail movements. NDOC provides the statewide offender search and historical Release and Parole data for state prisoners. Federal release information follows the Bureau of Prisons or the responsible federal custodian. Nevada also uses transitional housing and conservation or work camps. Visible activity in the community does not by itself establish final discharge from correctional status.

Limits of This Site

Nevada Released Inmates is a private reference site. It has no connection to a Nevada sheriff, jail, court, parole office, the Nevada Department of Corrections, or any local, state, or federal agency.

  • It cannot release, detain, or transfer a person.
  • It cannot post bond, schedule a visit, or send funds.
  • It cannot confirm custody or issue an official record.
  • It cannot provide legal advice.
  • It cannot promise that an agency contact, fee, or office detail has not changed.

Only the responsible custodian can verify a current custody status, charge, movement, or release; this site provides routes to those official sources.

Search Partner Disclosure

Some pages contain search tools supplied by outside providers. Those providers control their own results, terms, and prices. If a visitor follows a tool to a paid signup, Nevada Released Inmates may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep the site available, but it does not give the site control over a partner’s data, charges, or service.
