Information You Submit
Search entries
A name, place, or other term entered into a search box passes to the outside provider that operates the tool. Nevada Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s terms and privacy practices govern its handling of the query.
Messages
An email or contact submission may be kept long enough to review and answer it. Message content is not shared outside the organization unless a valid legal requirement applies. Do not include Social Security numbers, full financial details, or material that is not needed for the request.
Automatic Technical Information
Normal site and analytics systems may receive technical details when a page loads. Those details can include:
- Internet Protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent
- Referring site, when supplied
- Date and time stamps
Cookies
Cookies can help measure site use and remember limited preferences. A browser can reject or remove them. Blocking cookies may cause some search, analytics, or advertising functions to behave differently.
How Information Is Used
Collected data is used for limited operational purposes:
- Keep pages available and responsive
- Send a search request to the selected partner
- Measure which Nevada resources visitors use
- Diagnose errors and security concerns
- Display advertising that may reflect general interests
Government and Outside Links
Links may lead to Nevada jail or corrections pages, NV S.A.V.E., court portals, county sites, federal locators, and third-party search services. Nevada public records are governed by laws such as NRS Chapter 239 and by agency-specific limits, but the privacy policy of the destination controls once a visitor leaves this site.
Advertising providers may use their own technologies to understand activity across websites and select ads. That tracking occurs on the provider’s systems and is subject to its choices and policy.
Parties That May Receive Data
Nevada Released Inmates does not sell personal data. Limited information may be handled by:
- Search partners that process a submitted query
- Analytics providers that measure use
- Advertising networks that deliver ads
- Law enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order
Security Has Limits
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for information under the site’s control. No internet service, transmission, or storage system can be promised as breach-proof. Users should minimize sensitive details and avoid unnecessary republication of custody or release information.
Users Under Eighteen
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under eighteen. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and the ability to verify a request, a user may:
- Ask for a copy of personal data held by the site
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Request deletion of eligible information
- Object to or opt out of certain processing
These choices apply to data controlled by Nevada Released Inmates. Requests about an agency record or an outside search provider must go to that custodian or provider.
